Introduction - Who I Am and My Role Within Terraverde

My name is Seth Shenbanjo and I'm the founder and Managing Director of Rodan Analytics, a data science and AI consultancy that works with some of the UK's and world's largest organisations to turn complex data into real decisions. Over the past five years, I've built Rodan Analytics into a team that delivers across finance, media, education and beyond. My connection to Terraverde sits alongside that work, but draws on exactly the same skill set. I serve as a data and AI adviser to the charity and Rodan Analytics has been entrusted with the design and delivery of Terraverde Adviser, the charity's new AI-native wellbeing tool.

What I Enjoy Most About Being Part of the Team

What strikes me about Terraverde is the seriousness of purpose combined with a genuine openness to doing things differently. There's no bureaucratic inertia, no "this is how it's always been done." When you bring an idea to the table, it gets considered on its merits. For someone who works in technology, that environment is great and genuinely energising. I also find it meaningful to work on something where the end user is a household trying to stay warm, or a family that doesn't know they're eligible for support that could meaningfully change their situation.

My Day-to-Day Work and Area of Expertise

My work with Terraverde sits at the intersection of data science, AI engineering and product thinking. On a practical level, that means leading the design and build of Terraverde Adviser, making decisions about how the tool interprets data points about a user's situation, how the AI generates personalised guidance from those insights and how the whole experience feels to someone who may be anxious, sceptical or simply unfamiliar with tools like this. A lot of what I do is invisible to the end user, which is as it should be. If we've done our job well, someone sits down with the Adviser, answers questions at their own pace and walks away understanding their situation better than they did before, without ever thinking about the engineering underneath.

Vision and Goals for Terraverde's Future

Terraverde's ambition to redirect resources toward the people and communities that need them most is one I believe data and AI can genuinely accelerate. My vision for what the charity can become is a trusted, evidence-based platform that sits at the junction between people and the support systems that exist for them. Too much of that support goes unclaimed, not because people don't need it, but because the landscape is fragmented and hard to navigate. I'd like Terraverde to become the place that closes that gap, at scale, with integrity and with the kind of trust that's notoriously hard to build in this space.

Current and Future Plans for Terraverde Adviser

Terraverde Adviser launches with three core pillars, Home, Finance and Community, giving users a holistic view of their wellbeing across the areas most likely to affect their quality of life. But beyond the feature roadmap, what I'm most focused on is building something people actually trust and return to. That means privacy at its core, a tone that feels like a knowledgeable friend rather than a government form and AI that genuinely understands your situation rather than offering generic responses. Longer term, I see the Adviser becoming a tool that councils, housing associations and community organisations can offer directly to the people they serve, extending its reach without diluting what makes it useful.
