Charities hold valuable supporter data, but it is often difficult to know where to begin.

Names, postcodes, member lists and donor records can point to opportunity, but only when they are enriched carefully, reviewed properly and understood in context.

What Donor Analytics does

Donor Analytics takes a charity's donor or member list and enriches it using public records.

Each record is checked against Companies House and HM Land Registry data, then returned with a capacity band, confidence level and supporting notes.

The result is a structured view of your list: who may be worth reviewing first, where the match is strong, where the data is weaker and where further verification is needed before any outreach.

This is not a credit check.

It is not a net worth calculation.

It is a practical, reviewable screening tool designed to support responsible fundraising.

The insight: Three connected signals

Donor Analytics is built around three connected signals: identity, capacity and confidence.

Together, they create a more useful view of donor opportunity. Not a definitive answer, but a clearer starting point for fundraising teams.

Identity

We help match donor records to public Companies House information using names, postcodes and, where available, birth month and year.

Common names can return multiple possible matches. Donor Analytics makes this visible, so analysts can review the evidence and select the most appropriate record before relying on the result.

When separate Companies House officer records appear to relate to the same person, Terraverde can combine them into a single reviewable profile.

Capacity

We use public wealth signals to create an indicative capacity band.

This may include company directorships, significant control, filed cash or cash equivalents where available and residential property signals at relevant postcodes.

Capacity is a prioritisation signal, not a valuation of an individual. It helps charities decide which records may deserve closer review.

Confidence

Every result carries a confidence level.

Confidence reflects the strength of the match and the quality of the underlying data. A record with matching birth month, year and postcode is stronger than a name-only match.

This gives fundraising teams a more cautious and transparent way to use the analysis.

Public data, made useful

Terraverde is not charging charities for secret data or hidden access. The value is in the extraction, matching, compilation, review workflow and interpretation.

Without that service layer, public data remains fragmented, time-consuming and difficult for a charity team to apply consistently.

How Donor Analytics works

Share your list with Terraverde

The process begins with a donor, member or supporter list shared securely with Terraverde.

Full name is required. Postcode and birth month and year improve matching where they are available. The service is designed to keep the data requirement minimal and proportionate.

We run the enrichment

Terraverde runs the enrichment against Companies House and Land Registry sources.

It checks potential officer matches, residential address signals, property transactions at relevant postcodes and available company financial information.

We return the results

Each donor record receives a capacity band, confidence level and supporting explanation.

Where a match is uncertain, the evidence is surfaced so the charity can review it before making any decision.

Use the output

The enriched list is returned as a structured output that can be used for CRM upload, internal review or fundraising planning.

The output is designed to support fundraising planning, segmentation and prioritisation, while leaving final judgement with the charity.

How Donor Analytics works

Responsible screening

Donor Analytics is designed around human review.

No score should automatically trigger contact, suppression or a fundraising action.

Land Registry data is matched by postcode, not by name. Property value is a postcode-level signal, not proof of ownership.

Companies House information can also be incomplete or ambiguous. Common names, service addresses and multiple officer records all require careful handling.

That is why the service includes assumptions, caveats and guidance notes alongside the enriched output.

The purpose is to help charities use public data responsibly, not to replace their own judgement, policies or relationship knowledge.

Why Donor Analytics matters now

Fundraising teams are under pressure to do more with limited time.

At the same time, many charities hold supporter lists that are not being used as intelligently as they could be.

Donor Analytics helps charities take a more structured approach.

It can support major donor review, legacy fundraising, campaign planning, member analysis and early-stage prospect identification.

Used well, it helps charities move from broad lists to focused review.

It gives teams a clearer sense of where opportunity may sit, where caution is needed and where further relationship work should begin.

Donor Analytics and CaaS

Donor Analytics can work as a standalone enrichment service or sit alongside Terraverde's wider CaaS platform.

For charities using CaaS, the insight can help connect donor opportunity to campaign management, giving journeys and Enhanced Gift Aid activity.

That creates a more joined-up view of fundraising: not just who may have capacity, but how insight can support the right campaign, the right engagement and the right follow-up.

Future development can extend this further by linking donor opportunities to specific charity objectives, fundraising campaigns and strategic targets.
